If you enjoy fishing, whether you are a novice or seasoned professional, and are ready for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure fishing for the ferocious peacock bass, we offer the finest peacock bass fishing operations in the world - the Rio Negro Lodge and the Amazon Queen. Anglers who choose to use the Rio Negro Lodge as a home base depart each morning by Nitro boat or floatplane and return each night for rest and relaxation. Completed in 1998, the lodge was designed to epitomize luxury for up to 42 guests. For peacock bass anglers who choose the Amazon Queen, you will live aboard the Amazon Queen II for your entire Amazon adventure, departing each morning in a Nitro bass boat with a local guide and your fishing partner, returning each evening for dinner, a nightcap and a great night’s sleep. This 103-foot, three story, floating hotel offers comfort, convenience and privacy for up to 20 passengers while accommodating a crew of 30.

Not Included

 

• International & Domestic Airfare - As a service to our clients, discounted group space for round-trip international flights between Miami and Manaus, Brazil is reserved. Clients are responsible for domestic airfare & reservations  
• Specialty lures and tackle are available in limited quantities for purchase at the Rio Negro Lodge gift shop and aboard the Amazon Queen II
• Tips – Gratuities for guides and staff are at the client’s discretion. We ask that you tip the guides directly, and any tips for the staff (wait staff, laundry, and etc.) can be left with management
• Medical Considerations – The Centers for Disease Control recommend Yellow Fever Vaccination and Malaria prophylaxis for traveling to the Amazon River Basin. We recommend that you consult your physician
• Passport/Visa costs – All tourists traveling from the U.S. to Brazil must have a valid Passport and Brazilian Visa

Season

 

Late September thru mid March. Peacock bass snap 30-lb. monofilament like thread, straighten saltwater hooks, mangle lures and send rods home in more pieces than you came with. They are almost exclusively diurnal and aren't the least bit sun-shy, hitting most lures at the surface with explosive force. They're not too choosey about baits, but landing them is guaranteed to be one of the toughest freshwater fights you'll ever get in. You'll love every second of it!
