Alaska Salmon Fishing Guides

Yes Bay lies fifty miles north of Ketchikan in southern southeast Alaska. Overlooking the spectacular view of the bay and pristine Wolverine Creek, the Ketchikan Alaska Lodge is nestled in the heart of The Tongass National Forest, the largest temperate rain forest on earth. Five species of Pacific Salmon run into the river systems around Yes Bay. Whether searching for the knee-trembling freight train runs of King Salmon or the daring aerobatics of the Coho, you’ll find it all at Yes Bay. Coupled with the sheer power of Ketchikan Alaska Halibut Fishing and the colorful variety of Rockfish, the Lodge has everything you can imagine for your Ketchikan Alaska Halibut Fishing Trip experience.

Season

April to September. This southeastern portion of Alaska boasts a surprisingly moderate and comfortable climate throughout the entire fishing season, from April through September. In fact, over the past five years, Boardwalk anglers have not had to cancel a day of fishing due to inclement weather. For one of the most productive steelhead fisheries around, consider this destination in May and early June. You can expect a realistic 10 to 15 steelhead per angler, in a week's time at Boardwalk. King salmon are strong in June and July, as are the abundant sockeyes. Silver salmon action heats up July through August, while abundant pinks are migrating from August through September. Deep water halibut and cod fishing is just 100 yards off shore and is available throughout the entire season.
